REWOUND Timepieces is a small vintage watch studio based in Delhi, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell it to anyone.
What we collect
When you contact us through the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message. We use it to answer you.
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses. We need these to take payment, ship the watch and deal with any problem afterwards.
When you browse the site, our hosting and analytics tools record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the site you arrived from. See our Cookies Policy for more on this.
What we never see
We do not collect, see or store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Payments are handled entirely by our payment providers on their own secure systems. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and the last few digits of the card where the provider supplies them.
Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and answer questions about specific watches
- To process orders, take payment, and ship your watch
- To provide support after a sale, including returns, insurance claims and servicing questions
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it
We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to. If we ever do, every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only the minimum they need to do their job:
- Payment providers, to take and secure your payment
- Shipping and courier partners, to deliver your watch and insure it in transit
- Our web host, which stores the site and its database
- Our accountant and tax authorities, where the law requires it
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, ever. We do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Order records, including the personal details attached to them, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Contact form enquiries that do not lead to a sale are kept for up to two years so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. Email hello@rewoundtimepieces.com and we will respond within 30 days. Where an order exists, we may need to keep the records attached to it for the period the law requires, and we will tell you if that applies.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and access to the store is restricted to accounts we control. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the software up to date and we deliberately hold as little personal information as possible, which is the most effective protection we can offer you.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update it on this page and change the date below. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than made quietly.
